Bulldog Canyon

If you have more pictures of this run, please email them to admin@KreationKrawlers.com

to be included here.

The morning started with us meeting at the church and waiting to see if any other members were going to show for the scheduled run.  As it turned out, none did so Pete and I took the kids and headed to Bulldog Canyon.  This is a very scenic area and a nice easy trail run for most vehicles, there are several different trails but it is easy to find your way around with the map provided when you get your permit for this area.  We ran route 10 from north to south and there are a couple spots that will be tough for nearly stock vehicles, I would not suggest attempting this trail with a stock, low clearance vehicle.

The trail was uneventful but fun and leisurely for a change.  Part way thru there is a steep climb that used to be a tuff spot but is not so steep any longer and now there is a bypass for that even.

After a while we stopped to feed the kids some lunch and enjoy the weather. Quick bite and some play time o the rocks, clean-up our mess and we were back on the trail.

As we neared the end of route 10, we decided that we were not really done, we wanted to go on a bit so we turned into a small play area ad came out the backside on route 1356.  This is an interesting stretch and was probably very beautiful at one time but the ravages of fire had recently taken their toll.  Even through the tragedy though, you could already see the desert starting to rebuild itself, the green was starting to push its way up past the dirt and charred remains.  It gives you a new respect for nature to see it this way.

But then.....Invariably......Every time we go out, we find a destruction of a different nature, man's nature.  Again we packed out more than we packed in as we found an area where people decided to rid themselves of the unwanted items in their vehicle.  In this picture, you see two sections of bumper and an old pillow.

Please, if you enjoy our back roads and trails, help keep them clean for everyone to enjoy.  pack out all that you pack in and if you see some trash along the way, stop and pick it up, it all goes to help save our trails and our envirnmenrt. Thanks for joining us

God Bless
